Try ginger
let it all out
Coconut water is an excellent food remedy for gastritis. It gives the stomach necessary rest and provides vitamins and minerals. The stomach will be greatly helped in returning to its normal condition if nothing except coconut water is given during the first 24 hours. Rice gruel is another effective remedy in acute cases of gastritis. In chronic cases where the flow of gastric juice is meager, such foods as require prolonged vigorous mastication will be beneficial as this induces a greater flow of gastric juices.
The only products I’m aware of are Beano and Pepcid or Pepto Bismol. You may have a hiatal hernia causing your distress. It’s symptoms are often confused with acid reflux disease,(GERDS)Try to eliminate spicy, acidic, hard to digest foods from your diet, see if you improve. If you do not, I think an upper GI test is needed to solve your problem.
Speaking from my frame of reference (Traditional Chinese Medicine), there could be many causes, so I can’t be too specific without more information. Some fresh ginger tea (cut the ginger yourself, about 1-2 teaspoons minced in green tea or peppermint tea–steep with a tea ball and remove before drinking) might help.
If this persists, you can try Chinese Herbal Medicine, which does wonders for GI problems (usually–nothing works in all cases, of course).
It could be from an allergy to certain food(s).
Lactose intolerance can cause that.
Another thing that causes it, is garlic in some people. My husband and I studied principles in Ayruvedic philosophy, and found out that garlic wasn’t good for our body type. We cut it out of everything, and it was amazing how much better we felt and still feel.
You could try experimenting with cutting out those things. Or, to do it to an extreme, you can try an elimination diet…look it up.
I had felt bloated after practically every meal, and it has changed totally. I didn’t realize how bad it was until it got better.
ginger.
Gas pain? I haven’t had gas pains since I quit eating rice, potatoes, grains etc. In other words, decrease the carby foods. Also lactose intolerance could cause your flaulance. It is better to remove the cause than it is to treat the symptom.
Begin your experiment by removing carby foods. If that cures your problem then hey! You’re cured, but if not, remove dairy products to see what happens. Also if these problems are cleared up, I would go to the doctor to rule out celiac disease or IBS. Either way if you discovered that you had these, don’t let the doctor put you on meds if removing these foods clear the problem.
Hi Poma, most likely you have a food poisoning.
Home Remedies for Food Poisoning
Drink good amount of fluids except milk products, caffeine and carbonated products
Avoid sugary fluids and drink more of electrolyte
Eat plain bread, as it soaks the poison to provide relief
Have 1/4 cup of activated charcoal powder with a glass of water to subside the symptoms. If it doesn’t work within the first half-hour continue till you get complete relief.
Consume garlic as it detoxifies the intestine and destroys the bacteria in lower digestive tract.
After your meals you can drink a cup of ginger tea for good digestion, heartburn and nausea.
Mix three drops of garlic oil in 1/2 cup soya oil. Rub this mixture after your meals on the stomach to provide relief.
Mix 3-4 drops of mint essence in water and drink it every hour. You can also drink jaljeera (a mixture of asafetida, cumin, salt and water) 2-3 times a day.
Make a mixture by mixing one tablespoon lemon juice or cider vinegar in a cup of hot water. Drink it before your meals to prevent any acidic problems.

Are you are sure it is gas? If you are belching or burping, it probably is. Try four ounces of tap water with one level teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda (baking soda) stirred in. Drink it down all at once. It will make you burp all the gas up. IT WORKS. That is what was used before all the modern medicines was developed, and it is all natural. This can be repeated as needed.
Holy buckets! I had those same symptoms last week. I ended up going to the doctor and had an appendectomy. I hope that is not the case for you. Have you tried Gas-X or any similar products like that? Don’t wait to long to see a doctor if the symptoms don’t go away. Your appendix could rupture and that can cause some very serious problems, if in fact it is your appendix. Good luck to you.
