They are deliberately preventing hydrogen fuel cell technology in this country?

It seems to me we need to nationalize the oil corps to get them out of political influence.

at least in countries like japan where the gas prices are a lot higher than the united states they have other means of transportation. trains that run every couple minutes and buses that run every 10 min. if the US is going to have higher gas prices like other countries shouldn’t they be trying to get alternative methods to get around?

I wondered what people think of that new Environment Protection bill, that has just been through Congress and will include an additional tax to provide for measures against pollution and to develop new research projects for alternative energies. In my view, it’s basically a good thing, but it seems a bit strange that they would do it so shortly before the elections.

High gas prices encourage a shift to alternative fuels, more efficient vehicles, less consumption, etc. In short, they are a boon to the environment. Liberals should be cheering that gas prices are high. So why do I keep seeing posts from liberals decrying them?
So, to those who are saying it’s about the economy, is the economy more important than the environment? And just so others of you know, I think that in order for the country to get off it’s **** and lessen it’s dependence on fossil fuels (which I am for), it needs economic incentive in the form of high prices.
