What would you do if the gas price went above 5 dollars?

by admin on April 16, 2010

sell your car? get a smaller one,?get a bycicle? join the army to attack some country for oil?demonstrate for a train station? get a job at an alternative fuels company? walk? get a horse? do nothing cuz you’re well paid?not care cause you don’t have a car anyway?

most likely i would stick it out… seeing i get 30-40 mpg… because if the prices went above 5$ a gallon it wouldn’t last very long at all.

I would Drive less. or move somewhere liky NYC where you don’t have to have a car.

Many parts of the world this is already the case.
(and that is USD).

doigpatch September 7, 2009 at 2:59 am

drive less.

mister ss September 8, 2009 at 1:05 am

drive only when necessary, being retired I really don’t have to go anywhere that I couldn’t ride a bike.

Mark B September 9, 2009 at 7:29 am

COMPLAIN, gripe, moan, and fuss about it. Other than that, not much anything different than I do now.

Hairy_Balls September 12, 2009 at 9:12 am

I don’t care, because I drive a Company Car!

miki September 12, 2009 at 5:39 pm

i don’t know. i guess i would have to put gas in my car and keep it parked for emergency use only.

Tishmay September 16, 2009 at 4:23 am

Rally you and the rest of us Yahooligans to do somethings about it. There’s strength in numbers people…

Buy a Toyota Yaris…

JahnYa September 19, 2009 at 10:45 am

I would only drive when driving is needed. Like gettin groceries, going to work , and important things.

meme September 20, 2009 at 5:16 am

nothing…cause we have to have it… we would have to stop running as much as we do now though.

Hobbes_Mom September 22, 2009 at 7:43 am

Probably nothing. It wouldn’t last long before people started rioting.

vf29_sandman September 24, 2009 at 2:42 am

hmmm, 5 bucks a gallon? bye bye cage, and learn how to drive in the snow on a scoot hook or by crook. i’d rather drive a bike since i’m gettin mid 50’s mpg wise. and i’d have the old lady learn how to ride also.

nightowl750 September 26, 2009 at 1:56 am

I **** to carpool, but that may be the only choice, other than getting an MC. I have found a nice 3 wheeler that would be perfect for it.

mosquitojammer September 27, 2009 at 11:57 am

Well, if gas goes that high forget about driving to work.
You wont have a job a big recession would happen unemployment in double digit numbers. Goverment soup kitchens open again. It would be the end of the world as we know it.

kurticus1024 September 28, 2009 at 9:56 pm

I would drive a little bit less

ally_oop_64 September 29, 2009 at 9:06 pm

I would have to pay the price. My children and myself can’t walk or ride bikes to work and school when its very cold out. And this town I live in is too small for public transportation. So there is not much I could do about it.

Nightmare October 2, 2009 at 9:40 pm

I would keep driving.

nj2pa2nc October 3, 2009 at 10:37 am

keep up with what I am doing. I would give up something else, driving is a necessity for me.

bikernoj October 5, 2009 at 12:41 am

That would make filling up my motorcycle quite expensive. I’d be spending about $17 per week on gas!

Guess I’d have to start taking my bicycle to work more often.

tellmetrue October 5, 2009 at 2:37 am

I would continue to do what I do now. Go many places at once so you don’t have to make a trip here and there. I would love a horse.

Matt D October 5, 2009 at 2:06 pm

I would drive less and commute by train/bus.

Sexy Bastard October 7, 2009 at 12:34 pm

well I already own a corolla so I get better gas mileage than any car out there except perhaps the yaris or prius. I suppose I would only drive when absolutely necessary

KTMai October 10, 2009 at 7:19 am

Americans are so used to being lazy, they will just keep dolling out the money for gas! It doesn’t matter if it is $5, because it is going to be a steady climb in the price over time. Personally I saw everyone needs to get off their **** and start walking. Why do you think so many people are obese?!!!

thor October 10, 2009 at 8:06 am

Nothing different than now. I **** supporting terrorists, no matter what the price of gas, so drive as little as possible always.
