I am analyzing the effects of both the 1973 oil crisis and the current 2003 gas crisis and their effects on car design and fuel changes. This will be done for a senior project culminating in September 2009 and requires the use of a community expert who can read my papers and give me general suggestions technically about the subject.

Contact a professor of economics from a local university/college. Someone who can help guide you in understanding the 1973 crisis better and who can help you make the right comparisons in the current gas crisis. The basic premises is supply & demand. But an Economist will help shape your senior research project to narrow down a thesis topic. Good luck-it sounds like an interesting project.
